Field Paramedic Financial Package

Effective October 1, 2007

Compensation figures are based upon potential average earnings for employment.  Austin/Travis County EMS will consider up to six years of applicable experience for Field Paramedics when determining compensations.

5-6	$19.50	$48,672.00 to $52,728.00

Note: The first amount in each earnings range is the base salary only. The second amount estimates the potential earnings with inherent premium pay for hours over 40/week, as explained below (the estimate assumes no benefit time utilized).

The complete pay range for the Paramedic position starts at $43,455.36 and ends with a maximum of $74,156.16. As indicated above, the City of Austin will recognize up to six years of experience for purposes of determining compensation for entry Paramedics.
